And to see if the MOABS function as advertised. Many esteemed experts have questioned just how effective they might be. Apparently suitable designed concrete angled structures can deflect the projectile to some degree.
Also the weapon fuses only when stops moving so it is possible to over penetrate like a battleship round going straight through a destroyer.
Although called 30,000 pound, the warhead is approx 5000lb and rest of weapon is 25000 pound of steel mass to penetrate.

And the movies showed us in advance they were just waiting to do this albeit filmed with F18s and Paveways instead

It's legally interesting because he did not have the right to bomb Iran. Only Congress can declare war. Then again he had no right to introduce tariffs, form DOGE, fire all the civil servants that were fired etc etc. Meanwhile Congress remains completely supine and a mental deficient Trump does what he pleases.

Well its clear you are not one of the experts
You have confused a Moab and a MOP
Moab is a massive ordnance air blast ie it Blast in mid air to maximize the damage over a large area
a MOP is a Massive Ordnance Penetrator ie (bunker buster)
    ie a GBU-57 series MOP
The first versions of a MOP were created in the first desert war using howitzer barrels as a penerator.

There has as far as I know one use of a MOAB (in Afghanistan) it was airdropped from a C130. in a narrow valley.

I actually thought the MOAb was potentially made out of a Navual barrel but alas no. Which is a shame.
They reveal that the weapon pictured was filled with around 4,590 pounds of AFX-757 and about 752 pounds of PBXN-114 for a total of around 5,342 pounds of high-explosive filler. The markings also note the total nominal weight of the MOP as being 27,125 pounds.

From what I understand they have deployed these in pairs sio the first one create the first hole and the second one follows they are accurate enough to follow each other it seems

In response to Trump's bombing of Iran the latter has said they will activate terrorist sleeper cells in the US. The US will now turn to their top anti-terror official to protect them. A 22 year old with experience in gardening and selling groceries is the man of the hour. The guy has zero qualifications or experience for the position but he loves Donald Trump. This would never have happened under any other president.

Trump is about to claim credit for stopping the war but actually it was me.

Finally had time and money to fill the car and spare container with petrol yesterday as the threat of Hormuz straight closure loomed. Crossing wartime emergency off list of speed ticket excuse too I guess.

You wanted me to give trump six months, I said there was no need as he had already failed his much promised timeline of 24 hours.

So now 6 months has passed and the Ukraine situation is no better and the Israel/Middle East situation is now magnitudes of times worse and worsening still more by the day - are you now willing to admit that your notion of trump having the skills to bring peace to these conflicts was at best, a fanboi fueled pipe dream?

I will give two answers - the first is that it is not worse than Biden (not a high bar)

But the second: I have been somewhat disapointed here. Not so much on the Ukraine front - but more on what is happening with Iran.

It is giving me very much 2003/GWB/Iraq vibes - and I don't like it.

I am also not the only one who otherwise likes Trump but isn't happy about the current turn of events - on Polls where it is clearly for a Right-Wing audience, questions that used to get responses in the high 90%, when asked about Iran and the current events - I am seeing closer to 70-30.

The issue at hand was always can trump back up his words and end the war in Ukraine. It was never about comparing biden to trump. We are not off to a good start as the correct answer is trump has completely failed to broker peace in that war. Posting "Vlad, stop!" on truth social did not work. Go figure.

With Netanyahu banging on about Iran being near having a working nuke has been going on since 1992! trump should never have fallen for that. I agree with you, this really does feel like a 2003/GWB/Iraq do over. In trump, Netanyahu has finally found a US president he can manipulate with ease due to trumps severe character flaws.

trump seems under the illusion he can turn a middle eastern war on and off like a light switch, unfortunately this will be very unlikely indeed.

And is adding national debt what republicans nauseatingly and insistently whined about all through the last 4 years?
From where I stand I can only see it being a big beautiful bill for the rich, and a big fucking ugly tax bill for the middle class to pay for years to come.
    What say you?
    Excuse the late reply.

Rich people generally don’t pay tax or they significantly minimise it anyway. They pay interest and/or run at a loss etc. So I don’t see much changing with this bill.

If anything they may actually end up paying MORE tax because the reduction has brought it closer to compete with the skyrocketing interest rates.

And the time and effort for writing off etc vs reward ratio has now reduced, rich humans value their time, they may end up paying the government instead of the banks.

What I’m getting at is it’s the middle class who benefit the most - justifiable in my eyes.

Israel is reported to have at least 80 nuclear weapons , which it consistently denies. If Iran did in fact develop even one, they would know that the country would be turned to glass if ever it was used, so why would they even bother? Yet Israels nukes are the elephant in the room, never spoken of, even mentioning the Dimona facility earned an 18 year prison sentence for revealing what was in there. https://www.theguardian.com/news/def...es-30-years-on
