It will likely have no effect, but Trump and his lawyer, have just been fined a million dollars US for bringing a frivolous racketeering lawsuit against Hillary Clinton, Uncle Tom Cobley, and all.
A million must smart, but he probably still hasn't got the message. He's a moron but we could be forgiven for thinking the lawyer might have a clue.

Update: Hillary Clinton's legal costs, some $170,000 were also awarded against Trump. Apparently Trump has other cases before this same judge.

There's a glorious little clip of Trump on Twitter that isn't available on YouTube yet. He is informing the world that the Taliban are good fighters, but they can't fight at night because they haven't got binoculars. And this is the guy that said he knew more than the generals...

Well, to be fair, thanks to Biden and his Generals - the Taliban have now got all the Binoculars and Nods and other equipment they could want...

I've been ignoring you and that has been working well for me. Still, I remain an optimist but alas my optimism again goes unrewarded. The gent who let 5,000 Taliban prisoners out prematurely Shirley deserves some credit. It might have been a better idea to let them out after the withdrawal/retreat but again, Trump knows more than the generals. He said so.

I mean excellent Red Herring to ignore the disaster that was the Afghanistan 'withdrawal'. But I'll bite

We talking about Prisoner trades now?

How about someone from the WNBA vs the Lord of War.

Who do you think has the greater capacity to cause misery and destruction?

    5,000 Taliban fighters or

The person whose arms trading was so prolific to certain despotic clientele, that he had a Movie made about him?

He also appoved prisoner swaps with Taliban leaders for average ameicans and an Aussie.
Announcing the release of King and Weeks, Trump praised then-Afghan President Ashraf Ghani “for his courageous support” and added, “Proud of my team!” The Washington Post reported that Ghani had earlier “announced the prisoner swap on live television.”
Trump touted White’s release on Twitter, stating, “I will never stop working to secure the release of all Americans held hostage overseas!”

A statement from then-Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said the Taliban described the release of the two men as “a goodwill gesture.” The statement also notes the Taliban’s impending release of 10 Afghan prisoners and the Afghan government’s release of three Taliban prisoners.

Freed in the exchange were three senior commanders of the Haqqani network, which was added to the State Department list of foreign terrorist organizations in September 2012 and is closely allied with the Taliban. One of the men was a younger brother of the Taliban’s deputy leader and son of the Haqqani network’s founder, the Washington Post reported.

According to the Washington Post, the Haqqani network “has been active in kidnapping foreigners and is believed to have seized King and Weeks.”

After fighting it every step of the way through the courts, and losing, Trump finally answered the summons of the New York Attorney General. Trump refused to answer any questions, pleading his Fifth Amendment right not to incriminate himself some 400 times over four hours. Compare that to Hillary Clinton who was grilled by Congress for eleven hours and did not plead the Fifth once,

In US criminal cases the jury can not use somebody pleading the Fifth to imply guilt. Under New York law a jury in a civil case can use an accused pleading the Fifth to draw a negative inference. And this is a civil case.

There is a clip of trump saying ""You see the mob takes the Fifth," he said in April 2018. "If you're innocent, why are you taking the Fifth Amendment." https://www.businessinsider.com/trum...es-that-2022-8

It would appear that the man is actually insane now, or at very least has started believing his own hype, which is more or less the same thing

Yeah but.....I think it set in a long time ago. A bit like other soloists at the top....thinking of Putin and the Nazis in Ukraine.

There were reports yesterday that former Vice President Mike Pence has received a subpoena to appear before the special prosecutor Jack Smith's inquiry. This is in relation to Trump's failed coup attempt. The reports are unofficial but last night our time there were also reports that the FBI were searching Pence's home.

If the investigation has been working its way up the hierarchy it must be approaching some sort of conclusion. Don't hold your breath though.
