Didn't think it through did he.

Pleading the 5th in a US civil case (rather than criminal) does not forbid 'adverse inferences' i.e. that telling the Truth will actually incriminate you.

This is 'Not Good' for your case, especially if you are the complainant.

Indeed, having been listening to various US legal podcasts since Trump began his run for the presidency, I probably "know" more about US law than NZ law.
Lately rather than podcasts it's Youtube clips.

For once Trump is not wrong. In The Hague facing charges of crimes against humanity is where Netanyahu should be. The US will probably prevent that though, and not just because the US is not a signatory to the International Criminal Court.

Trump generally doesn't attract the best lawyers. Not surprising really, most lawyers expect to get paid.

Trump said he was going to appeal his gag order and in fact he has. His lawyer has now received a reply from the court advising him that he is not a member of the bar in that district and he can't practice law there. They also advised him where he could get information as to the documentation and fees required to apply for membership.

That seems a basic error?

Nineteen defendants was probably too many for one trial and the prosecution would probably prefer to get it all over in one trial. With the flippers it's down to fourteen now. That's still probably a bit high but they're getting there.

Sidney Powell pleaded guilty to election interference in Georgia's criminal case last week.

On social media, she has continued to push claims that the 2020 election was rigged and prosecutors target conservatives.

Her organization's newsletter urged her followers to read an article arguing the DA "extorted a guilty plea from Powell."

lPerhaps, like Ceeseburger's lawyer has done, they are trying to downplay the 'FLIP' to reduce the chance of being taken out by MAGAts with assault rifles, before they must testify against defendant trump in court!
