The cartoon is funny. Extra humour accrues though because one person hereabout read Trump's book in the mistaken belief that Trump actually wrote it. That person, who shall remain nameless, even went so far as to quote it here.

In terms with the "gifted" 400 million dollar jet, mark my words, that plane will not be ready by the time trump leaves office and ownership of it essentially moves to him. And this crypto coin bullshit he is peddling is a very REAL problem. They are not even trying to hide the abject corruption now.
Trumps so called skills at bringing truce to wars has resulted in a predictably miserable failure.
And the so called big beautiful deal adds trillions to their national debt.
Not long before trump got back in, I mentioned here that the republicans are only fiscal hawks when they are not in power and morph into reckless spenders the moment they are in power - and our resident trump apologist said, oh no, no , no they don't. Yet just a handful of months later - here we are. I do not expect a walk back on that as when it comes to trump, honesty and integrity goes out the door with that one.

That's true and verifiable. Clinton had to deal with economic problems left by Bush Snr. Obama had to sort the GFC left by Bush Jnr. Biden sorted the wreckage left by Trump who immediately set about undoing all that had been done when elected again.

‘Merica just got couple things right this week, probably without Trumps help too.

Iowa state just passed bill 645, you can no longer complain/sue about noise or anything else related to a motorsports venue if it was there before you bought your house. This sounds like something Seymour or Jones could run with and get passed here.

De Santis in Florida announced physical Gold and Silver be legal tender tender to settle all debts and poured cold water on the idea of a central bank digital currrncy which lot of people are talking about. Cash is still king for now….

One wonders though if it’s just like the crypto bill about making it easier for state to sell assets seized from drug lords than preserving financial freedom but it’s a win anyway.

It seems Trump is not pleased with his new name TACO. Trump Always Chickens Out. He said he had never heard that. I'm not surprised, any staff member telling him about that would be looking for a job.

In a very long Truth Social post he had a good whinge about judges among other things. The judges finding against him in court on an almost daily basis are not the left wing nutters he seems to think. Some were appointed by Republican presidents including Trump himself. He explains that he just appointed names put forward to him by the Federalist Society. We knew that but now he is unhappy about it. He calls Leonard Leo a sleazebag. That might be biting the hand that feeds you though. Leonard Leo, he who has bought and paid for a couple of Supreme Court justices, is a billionaire donator to right wing US causes.

In conclusion a little Schadenfreude? Stephen Miller, the architect of Trump's immigration policies and an all round arsehole, was married a while back to the surprise of many. It seems the relationship may have struck rocks. His bride has left the White House to work for Elon Musk. It's thought by many that the new arrangement is not entirely employment related.

Just keeps getting better - Taco is now claiming Biden died in 2020 and was replaced by a clone. https://www.independent.co.uk/news/w...-b2761770.html

Meanwhile the "big beautiful bill" has a provision, hidden away, that "No court of the United States may use appropriated funds to enforce a contempt citation for failure to comply with an injunction or temporary restraining order if no security was given when the injunction or order was issued….”

Translated: No federal court may enforce a contempt citation.

So not only does taco want to be king, looks like he wants to be a mad king

Ooh. A robotic clone no less. Didn't know we had that technology.

But why do that, then make the clone so dozy and likely to lose the election?

    Just asking questions.

FEMA, the US government department that responds to natural disasters, has a newly appointed head. It also has a new homepage warning of the approaching hurricane season. When the new head saw the new homepage he told staff he didn't know there was a hurricane season. Another top man on the job.

I see, on Stuff, and predictably, that Elon is now making disparaging remarks about the big beautiful bill. I wondered how long it would take to start the niggling and how much longer before Trump calls him a nasty person? Inevitable right?
