Trump has mentioned that he would like to visit Moscow again. He has fond memories of previous visits? Putin may yet regret visiting trump in Alaska as there is the risk that when he returns to Moscow there may be a new leader. Historically Russia is not kind to former leaders.

Anyhoo I think it likely that Putin will be confused. https://www.facebook.com/reel/700077649679966.

Trump's new MAGA appointment to the Bureau of Labour Statistics has announced that monthly reports will be suspended. Surprise!

In case you were wondering why Trump invariably appoints incompetents here is the explanation.

I’ll have to try find the link but watched a vid awhile ago about why ruthless strong leaders like Putin survive in Russia. Short story is every time in history they they had a nice or weak leader it ended in revolution or being over run by another nation.
Unlike the west they have a respect for lessons of history even if they are hundreds of years old.Where as in west we base our judgements on last couple of three year election cycles.

After all this blows over Eastern Europe will end up as a haven for unemployed terrorists like Afghanistan.... maybe Putin has done his homework after all...4Dchess????

Watch ISIS turn and run, no CIA paycheck is big enough for them to face the Russian war machine, they will quickly fall apart with out American resupply. Guess they'll be a whole lot of Toyota hilux's going cheap soon....

That was a fairly massive demolition job. I particularly like this,
"Many people don't understand the Russian military doctrine. They are very smart and don't play the same gameplan as the west."

Many people do understand Russian military doctrine and how mistaken it is. Ukraine understood and ditched the Russian system for the system used by the west. In Russia a general issues the orders and nobody can change that order. If the situation changes and the plan isn't working the general has to go right to where the action is to see for himself before he changes his plan. Right to where a sniper can see him. Which explains the high casualty rate among Russian generals in Ukraine in the early days of the war. In the west leaders at all levels are taught to adapt to changing circumstances.

Anyhoo we can all see how smart the Russians are with over a million casualties and counting. With that and an economy on the brink there are a lot of unhappy Russians who would be happy to see major change.

Newsom is right - Wake up magas, you are ushering in authoritarianism.
Trump sent ICE to intimidate people attending Newsoms speech. just as he sent in federal forces to Washington DC to intimidate the bureaucrats despite crime dropping in DC. Big thug government in action.

Pretty poor performance for an authoritarian dictatorship. Ok let’s have a look…

    “Completed February 28, 2025
    USAGM
    U.S. Agency for Global Media
Dismantle USAGM's journalism "firewall" to align its reporting with the aims of the president.
Note: One America News to provide newsfeed services to Voice of America; journalists are facing HR investigations for comments critical of Trump.“

Sounds a lot like the single source of truth and claims of mysogany of you criticised, and hiring five press secretaries when previous pms got by fine with just one.

    “Completed April 8, 2025
    CFTC
    Commodity Futures Trading Commission
    Reduce regulations on cryptocurrencies.
Note: DOJ instructed prosecutors to ease up on crypto enforcement.”

What’s wrong with letting people make their own financial decisions?

    “Dept. of Veterans Affairs
Increase automation in processing benefits claims.
Note: The VA announced it will "begin work to identify areas where automation can be used to make the DIC claims process easier to navigate".”

Making it easier and faster for soldiers to get their entitlements sounds fine.

It reads just like a list of things any normal change of govt involves in the new crowd doing things their way. Can’t find anything that’s terribly bad, no mention of trains to work camps etc…

All of which makes it obvious you have no clue as to what's happening. Or are attempting to be a troll. No trains to work camps? People are disappeared by masked individuals to dark sites including the infamous 'Alligator Alcatraz' where people are locked 32 to a cage with three adjacent toilets which are the source of all water. Teeth brushing and drinking included. Although it's unlikely anybody actually has a toothbrush. There is a seperate fitting attached to the lavatories for potable water though.

Staff were laid off at Veterans Affairs but the automation hasn't been set up yet. Same with the system that pays pensions. Staff were laid off, offices closed, but the phone system hadn't been boosted to take the extra demand and many of the old buggers don't have online access.

Troops in the streets of LA and DC. That's not normal. It's not even legal and it's done on the basis of crime statistics Trump pulled out of his arse..

A tariff for you, a tariff for you, everybody gets a tariff. Again not normal and not legal. Trump is taking trade advice from one nut job who quotes a fictitious expert.

Trump didn't like the monthly labour statistics so he fired the Commissioner. The replacement head is one of the authors of Project 2025. He does have an economics degree but no qualification or experience in statistics. He has announced that provision of monthly labour statistics is suspended.

The changes keep coming and it's primarily all about the centralisation of power. Straight out of the authoritarian playbook.

Trump had issued an executive order federalising law enforcement in DC. The mayor and the police chief were to have no say in law enforcement. Trump had appointed the head of the DEA as police commissioner. None of which is legal.

A judge has now ordered the mayor to ignore Trump and she and the Police Chief are to resume control of the police. Trump's minions are to follow the customary advice regarding sex and travel.

When Trump told Zelenskyy that before he ordered in the troops DC was the most dangerous place on earth Zelenskyy shot trump a startled look. He did recover quickly though, and Trump went back to recounting imaginary conversations.
