In a late night pardon spree Trump pardoned lawyers who had been prosecuted, or are being prosecuted, by various states for their efforts to keep Trump in power after he lost the 2020 election. The president does not have the power to do that. Under the Constitution he has virtually unlimited power to pardon federal crimes but he has no power to pardon state crimes.
Interesting. Most of these former lawyers have already been disbarred anyway.

Yeah, saw that Pritch - as ever with trump it is just about optics. I mean those traitors, several of whom pleaded guilty could not possibly be responsible for trying to steal the election would they? So pardon them (with no powers to do so) so it goes out to right wing suckers who will believe anything trump says.

During the discovery process Biden would have the right to subpoena anybody who may have knowledge of the introduction including Trump himself and Ghislaine Maxwell and they would be under oath.

A group of US politicians, all Democrats, all having served in a branch of the US military, have posted an ad reminding those serving currently that they should not obey unlawful orders. Trump has posted that this is sedition and is punishable by death.
There is no crime of "sedition". The crime is seditious conspiracy and reminding people of their legal duty to the Constitution is not a conspiracy.
Of course Trump's enthusiasm for executions for sedition must be very recent. It wasn't apparent following the events of Jan 6 when he himself actually incited an insurrection.

True. Her departure date 5/1/26 is the first business day after she qualifies for a Congressional pension. She's not broke, her father had a construction business, and it's thought she has done quite well out of the Stockmarket insider trading that takes place in Congress.
I'd wondered if she had her eye on another position such as state governor or a Senate seat but apparently there are no openings. It'll be interesting to see where she turns up next.

Yep, did not see that coming. Her transition towards what is closer to truth has been an interesting one. My theory is her kids talked some sense into her and she saw how she was part of this left/right hatred machine carefully crafted by the ruling elite. Now the blinkers are off, she sees trump closer to the criminal he actually is. If the likes of MTG can come to see the light, there is still hope for TDL yet.
My thoughts as well. I reckon she was dipping the toes in with the Dems followers to see if she can do a a successful rebrand away from toxic trump. I do not mean become a dem, just transition from trump and his billionaire cabinet cronies.
The maga mob are generally not big on thinking ahead. I saw an article on fox a while back about the much right wing touted 3rd trump 2028 run. I quickly posted in the comments section that I was looking forward to trumps 2028 opponent Obama starting his 3rd term with him and 1st lady Michelle performing an inauguration celebratory dance at the newly completed lavish White house "Pelosi ballroom". All the exploded heads and cries of anguish suggested they had not put a lot of thought into the trump 28 gig
