This was an interesting if mildly perplexing news item. Staff from the office of the Director of National Intelligence accessed voting machines on Puerto Rico because of concerns about the machines having been hacked by Venezuela. Why Venezuela would be interested in these voting machines was not explained.
People in Puerto Rico do not get to cast votes in elections for Congress, the Senate, or the President. They can basically only vote for local politicians to hold positions on the island. They are American citizens though and have full voting rights if they move permanently to the mainland.
