Referring to the Appeals court dropping the bond to $175m? It certainly looks like money has changed hands somewhere in the system

There is so much Trump news currently but this sorta stands out. In addition to his gold sneakers and sundry other tasteless tat, he is now hawking a "God Bless The USA" Bible. A King James Version, it also includes, among other things, a copy of the US Constitution. So much for the seperation of church and state. Still, Trump would have no more idea about what's in the Constitution than he has about what's in the Bible, but they are both out of copyright.

Yep. That's the guy who just wished everybody a happy holy week. He obviously has zero idea of what Easter is supposed to be about. There was also the time he was quizzed about his religious beliefs, his favourite bible verse, etc. He said that was personal and he didn't like to discuss it. He was then asked whether he preferred the Old Testament or the New. He said he liked them equally. If you were, you know, a Christian, you could be expected to have a preference for the New Testament. He didn't even know that.

Trump has now written to the NY Appellate Court asking them to waive the bond as he has found it impossible to raise the money. That would normally mean that the NY Attorney General can immediately start seizing his properties to recover the fine, but this is not normal, this is Trump.

You know how he works. He can probably borrow against it. Whether the stock is still worth anything in 6 months, who knows.

It's hilarious, he is too dumb to actually read it but dumb enough to believe it! Lols!

And that what a lender woould be wary of. Be like trying to get a bank loan using a lotto ticket as collateral. Especially as the biggest drawcard of the trusth social stock is that it's trumps own, and once he dumps his 58% then, there goes the raison d'etre

The share float developments are hard to understand. Truth Social is basically failing, it has been losing about fifty million a year. It's not a competitor for Twitter/X, it basically just functions as a megaphone for Trump. The institutional investors won't touch this float with a barge pole, so it must be MAGAts investing their hard earned cash. That part of it which they haven't already donated to Trump or spent on his sundry worthless tat.
And the share value soars - for the present at least.

The 'God Bless The USA Bible' has been around for a few years at $49.99. Now that Trump has endorsed it the price is $59.99. Previously there were complaints that the pages stick together and that delivery was subject to lengthy delays.

But it must be worth that because the (share)market is always right, right?

Surely there's an element of fraud here (it's Trump, so QED), there must be somebody sensible left in the US looking into this??

An interesting read about the Trump media share float. If you make it to near the end the comments re cults are interesting.

Well I don't feel like reading extensively on the guy , but as a future Cult leader (precluded to in some of my other posts) I've studied the Playbook and it seems that first you need to make people suspicious of any groups but this one. Then get then to cut ties .
Then emotional invest. Then financially invest.

Then there's the deprivation of sex. That bit will be interesting. Then double down on everything as you are way too far to pull out now.
