Learning to ride in Auckland - who? where?

Brother in law wants to get a motorcycle licence and a bike for transport in Auckland.

Id teach him myself, but we are at opposite ends of the country.

He has not ridden previously, and being a Uni student, has no family etc up that way who can help out. Are there any places, groups etc up in Auckland that others have used to practice / gain the skills to pass BHS test that they could recommend?

South Auckland (and Waikato) you've got Passmasters, West Auckland you've got Riderskills, both highly recommended.

Agree with Gremlin, both are excellent.

More importantly, where is he living?

Passmasters are based in Pukekohe, Riderskills are based at Westgate. However, both use areas away from their bases for training purposes. I'd suggest he look at their websites to see what they are offering.
