That moto3 incident was dangerous. I thought they might have declared the places as at the end of the last completed lap. Going back to before the first red flag was a bit of a surprise.
They have a copy of the rule book though, I don't.

Exactly the kind of incident I've been worried about happening by the sounds.

Hopefully this will calm the kids down

It happened on the back straight, flat out, about 160mph according to the commentators. Oncu suddenly moved a foot or two across the track taking out Alcoba's front wheel in the process. Alcoba went straight down near the head of the field. Migno right behind him hit the downed bike and was launched skyward. Acosta went down too. It looked nasty with bikes and a rider on the track as the field came through at speed.

All three downed riders walked away. Nobody was limping.

Oncu has been handed a two race holiday.

Mat Oxley reports that the riders at COTA considered going on strike because of the bumps on the track. The mutiny was brief, but that might indicate that it's time for track repairs?

Lots of CEV JWC and Rookies Cup riders having rides in next couple GPs and stepping up to Moto3 2022.
Holgado getting another couple goes before next year.
Mario Aji getting a go too.
Aspar might bring in someone to deputise for Garcia.
I'm rooting for Foggia to overtake Acosta. Tough ask, but I'll be cheering him on.

EDIT: Yeah, Aspar JWC team member and Rookies Cup champion David Alonso stepping in for Garcia.

    Hi Gaz
The Lombok round to go yet, but it’s Toprak’s to lose.
Put a bit of life into the series, but manufactured, as they chopped 500 rpm off the Kawasaki.
    Cheers
    Bill

Binder D officially announced in Yamaha RNF MotoGP team 2022, with option for 2023.

    Shit is really on now......

    Also,

Just listened to the short answer Valentino gave at the press conference.
It dawned on me how much I, and others (and I am looking at you Pete MacDonald..... hahahahahaha) are going to miss having Valentino on the grid and in pressers and the like.
But, as with all things, seasons turn and it is now time for the next generation.

Brad was asked what advice he had for Darryn. He missed his opportunity to say, "Stay behind me for the whole season and you will be OK" Hahahahahaha

Looks like Toprak must really have turned down a MotoGP ride.

I think he would have been the one Yamaha would have really wanted.

Huge changes to FIM championships to be made in 2022 and 2023 in regard to ages and entry list limits and airbag suits.

Just read the brief on GP site.

Seems to make sense more time in the club and feeder grades, more maturity.
Surely now there might have to be some more feeder competitions to make the smaller fields now in those classes?

Can't see this is a bad thing for everything from club racing to those classes.
Might even see sponsorship filtering down more??

    Wadya reckon???

Lets not forget they did the same to the dook a few seasons ago when Rea was getting his arse kicked and started whinging. So fair play if you ask me.

Good year for Yamaha by the looks

Ahhh Rossi left the building long ago (and I'm a big fan ) good on him I say !

End of next year it'll be the same for Dovi, at least he has one more year to add to his pension.

Go Yamaha and #20 ! you can do it bud.

You'd never go hungry with Nigella Gaz.
