Having said that, the biden administration has been completely woeful having basically ignored the problem. Though just of late, clearly the gop don't want it fixed right now as they have just rejected Bidens offer of 100's more border guards, they say the money should go to admin ffs, no doubt where they can siphon it off.
They should triple the border guards and use rubber bullets, tear gas etc and just watch those illegals numbers plummet. Pretty easy solve in my book.

The problem with immigration for the US is that the economy is based on immigrant workers. If manufacturing comes back to the US it will be manned by immigrants. The whole tourism industry relies on immigrant workers to keep it going.
The GOP knows this as well as anyone but play on their base's fear of immigrants. Trump after all is only a 2nd generation immigrant - married to a woman who appears to be an illegal immigrant.
