We would also reinstate a proper Air Force to do our bit for regional security so we are not freeloading off the Australians for same. The current situation re that is a total disgrace while we hand out billions of ( heavily borrowed ) money to so many vested interest groups ( parasites ) with their hands continually out for Government ( taxpayer ) money
We need a HUGE reset.
Airforce could be another thread in itself. While I mourned the loss of our Skyhawks at the time it was prob for the best.
If our troops were ever anywhere that needed close air support and we’d had time to move our aircraft close enough for effective operation we’d likely have better equipped and trained allied forces able to do job for us.
Samecwith our anti submarine capacity on frigates... whose subs are we going to sink that is not so big they will just kick our arse afterwards????
