And any infected person going into any city or town ... is likely to infect others and transmit the virus. Be it Christchurch, Nelson or Dorkland.

As above. The numbers of infected people arriving at one (International) airport makes all the difference. And Dorkland has had plenty arriving.

Access allowed to those WITH a covid pass IS conditional actually. Even freedom has it's rules of conduct in any society.

Except density increases each interaction. More interactions = more chances to pass it on.

Sure... Person A breaks the rules (naughty naughty), and encounters Persons B, C and D who are all following the rules.

If the rules work, then persons B, C and D won't pass it on.
If the rules don't work, then persons B, C and D will pass it on.

    Guess which one happened....

    So it's not Freedom then.

The more people (Aucklanders) that break the rules ... the more interactions you'll get. And the more it spreads. Total lockdown of Auckland is needed now. That'll teach the fuckwits.

Person "A" in Auckland. I rest my case for their total lockdown.

Rules can only work if people follow the rules. And too many don't. But it's not their fault ... apparently.

It's the density of pricks in Auckland that don't follow the rules ... that is the problem.

Dunedin follows the rules ... no (reported) covid cases here. See ... the rules DO work ... you just have to follow the rules.

So simple. Even you should understand that.

The only thing that isn't their fault is that the rules don't work. Dunedin has half the population density of Auckland, that alone is either a reduction of 50% (if it scales linearly) or potentially much more (if it's a square function, which I suspect it might be)

But again, if the rules worked, isolated rule breakers wouldn't be an issue. But they don't. And should be scrapped.

Please, can we keep the multiquoting covid arguments to the covid thread, and keep this one on track for those that want to bag Aunty Cindy and her communist ways.

Three threads of the same arguments is, IMHO, totally unecessary.

But the plebs love Labour, they gave them 50% of the vote, surely they don't have buyers remorse?

Fair enough - although personally, it's relevant to Stalinda - Communists always revert to top-down government with more and more beaurocracy, regulation and restrictions.

It's the university educated middle class that's the issue.

Most of the Lower classes aren't onboard with Labour's more radical positions (just look what happened in the UK), but Labour still has the veneer of working class support.

However people like the Farmers, Truckers, Small Business owner - they are starting to see through the facade.

Could be the beginnings of a Targeted Basic Income. lol@rort potential. I'd love to know how it's being paid for, coz I can't see any insurance company or bank or any other financial entity underwriting such a bonkers application of a helicopter drop.
    I didn't think!!! I experimented!!!

Cmon you know how it’s paid for doesn’t matter to Commie dictators 😂😂😂

IÂ’d say about a 3% tax on personal income.... thatÂ’s slightly below what commercial brokers recommend you should be willing to spend for private loss of income insurance. So just like ACC motorbike premiums the more successful and less likely to claim the more you will pay vs the leaner biker on unregistered shitter with canvas tyres.....
Tag on a big speech straight from the horses mouth about equality and the creation of a flexible labour pool where people are alledgely more willing to travel for and take up shorter term employment/seasonal work....
My job is slightly seasonal and my employer would love the massive cost saving to be able to give me a four month holiday paid for by the govt knowing I’ll be back again when “ things get better” 😂😂😂😂
I canÂ’t see how they can justify this at all though given across all industries thereÂ’s a massive shortage of skilled labour let alone ones that can pass a drug test and actually turn up to job interview.
Well we seen the results of kiwibuild (100,000homesxyeah right), ending child poverty, affordable homes, crimewave yeah there’s no way this could be anything g but a success 😂😂😂😉

Semantics probably, but I reckon that they very much care how it's paid for (support is important after all, else truckers), but don't care where it comes from. Bottom line: Money, like bitcoin, will be created on the basis of perception. So long as people don't complain (which they won't given their diverse portfolio of a never ending stream of only ever increasing in value into the long term digital currency portfolio), they'll print it how they like simply to keep the economy going without having to constantly make excuses that defy free market theology. They have no choice. There is no other source of justifiable money creation. QE is fucked. Capitalists are easy to take along for the ride, because they don't actually know where money comes from nor how it circulates around the economy v's the true value of what's being sold etc..., because when they think about the economics highlight just how silly capitalism is to be using in this day and age.

Commies don't use financial autonomy as tools to lead the people into communism. Totalitarians do... but hey, digital currency beyond your wildest dreams... you're gonna prove Klaus right arencha? You already are, Comrade
    I didn't think!!! I experimented!!!
