    Fibreglass gas tanks?

    Will a well made, home made fibreglass tank pass a cert process??
    Imperfect action beats perfect inaction every time.

    I have no idea, but dont use polyester resin, go epoxy and read up on modern fuels.

    Have a talk to the person who is going to certify it. They WILL know.

    They are there to help you get through the certification progess.

    You will need a bloody good Top quality epoxy primer base coat on it as well.
    I have a Fiberglass Long race tank for my CB 350 honda race bike, nicely painted and a good layer of laquer on it, but as soon as i take it out in the sun it bubbles with the heat, once cooled off they seem to just go down again. My proffesional car painter has no awnser for it done it 3 times now.
