THis could be merged with the stolen bikes thread as well as it's probably where the bikes being used came from
it's not a bad thing till you throw a KLR into the mix.
those cheap ass bitches can do anything with ductape.

True. The video on the weekend of the cops tackling the riders at the servo made it onto a NZ rides facebook page, 90% of them up in arms over how the guy on the red bike clearly wasn't involved and the police need to be held accountable for the damage to his bike etc. Until the guy who owned that bike which was reported stolen a couple weeks back chimed in...

This is nothing new, its just getting bigger. Seems to be run by the Killer Beez.

2 bikes in the clip have been spotted as stolen, the red road bike and the DR650. Most will be stolen.

That's the thing that pisses me off most about the whole thing - ordinary people on ordinary wages work bloody hard to save up for a dirt bike, only to have some scumbag nick off with it and hoon around with (usually) minimal consequences.

See idiots frequently hooning around South Auckland streets on dirt bikes - no gear, pulling wheelies up the middle of the road etc etc. Often they’d be lucky to be much older than 15 or 16.
Pisses me off that they’d take up valuable hospital beds when they eventually smear themselves down the road surface.
Only a couple of weeks ago I was in the car travelling through Manurewa behind a kid in shorts, singlet, no helmet, sneakers, pulling monos with oncoming traffic. He was a lone rider but there’s also clusters of them that use the Great South Rd as a drag strip during afternoon traffic.

You just know at the end of the year, when this whole event is forgotten about, they'd show up under the motorcycle crash numbers and be used as stats to justify extracting more ACC money out of the rest of us.
