    Aprilia rs250 in pieces

Hi guys I've my aprilia rs250 that's been striped down to a rolling frame with the engine in. I'm pretty sure it has a cracked head or even just a blown gasket as it over heats and spits coolent out when ridden. It's been sitting covered up in the garage for a while deregistered so with a new baby at home it's time to sell it. The problem is I don't know what it's worth in this state. If anyone could tell me what it's worth or if your interested in buying I'd be happy for it to go to someone who could give it the life this beautiful bike deserves.thanks.

Probably not much. I'm trying to get a ticket on the ferry. Should be there about 4.30 - 5am

The problem is these days the ones that were around to appreciate the two strokes are nearing the pension age.

Speak for yourselves!. The RS will be a relative armchair compared to my racebikes. I could still ride those fine. I mean once I'm healed proper.
Out in Wairarapa enjoying a pie at corner cafe. Nice day to be riding but was thinking I must finish my 2 stroke 500.

Oi! My friends and I (some of whom still own a few of these including an MC21SP and MC28SP) were in our teens when these were current in the 90's. Still got a few years up our sleeves before pension age. But you are right, one who owns three is thinking peak value for these bikes is about now as the appeal isn't getting any stronger. Like people paying $1,000,000 for a GTHO Phase3. In 30yrs time there will be virtually no one with that sort of interest any longer.

I loved my two smokers but I started out in 1966 on YDS3's and T20's .
For the time they were the latest and greatest.
    54 bikes later, I'm on a Kenworth !

Ribs finally starting to come right. And fell on hip which is a bit of a pain as we're off dirt riding next weekend and it's kickstarter only. I really shouldn't but its been planned for months.

It's a 50th for a mate so there will be plenty of pain killer that evening.

I will of course be riding a 2 stroke. But probably just around the paddocks.
