Any "Hacks" that can be done will not give any noticeable power increase (And the one you suggest will just give her a headache). To get a noticeable power increase ... will cost more that the bike is worth.

GN125's are not fast enough to catch up with anything ... so the chances are good that all other vehicles will approach her ... with her ahead of them.

In the meantime ... tell her to wear good High-Vis gear.

The GN is good for basic learning of riding skills ... but plan for a larger capacity motorcycle in the near future. In the LAM's system ... there are plenty of choices available.

Sneak it out in the middle of the night and replace it with a GN250!

Make sure to learn to own the road.
    Make self visible.
Noisy exhaust won't help in this case.
Learn to be comfortable on bike
Test braking and what the bike/rider can do.
    Practise somewhere quiet and flat.
    Get confident.
    Try new tasks.

Practise so things are second nature
    Become observant.

    Hi vis helps.

    Become one with bike.

Get training as it helps with bad habits.
    Also shortens license.

Soon a larger bike will come along.

    Patience.
