All this German talk corrupted my algorithm s. Sunk a few bourbons watching this old classic. An ok film and timely reminder of where blind loyalty leads.

The best science fiction book written in the 21st century has been adapted for Prime by the people who did the first series of Westworld. It isnt a scene by scene shot for shot of the novel (which would be quite hard) but the tone is right and the cast is good. I imagined a young (1980s) Winona Ryder as Flynne Fisher, but old mate Chloe is doing a sterling job. Interesting some of the character replacements (no Shaylene?) and adaptations. Two episodes in I have high hopes.

In a similar vein this chap has done chapters of Tom Clancy’s Red Storm Rising. So far there are about 4 clips from 11-36mins long. Although Cold War era its eerily similar to what could play out for real in near future. The narrators voice is just right too.

It seems Beirut wasn’t the first mega disaster involving nitrate fert, the Germans managed a good effort at it. For those without time to watch they thought mixing another agent made it inert. Product would cake like rock in sheds so they decided to use small blasts to break it up. This worked safely the first 20,000 times until.....

Up to episode 4 and liking it a lot. Slightly reminiscent of "Altered Carbon" in the way alternative bodies can be used.
it's not a bad thing till you throw a KLR into the mix.

The five star reviews of "THE ENGLISH" on Prime are well deserved.

I love Westerns and this is a really good one. Emily Blunters is great in it, and Chaske Spencer is too.
