KTM 750 Range to Debut Soon

Made in China for a global market, KTM’s new 750 will plug a midrange hole.

I wonder if these will come to NZ ? If the pricing were keen it'd sell OK I think.

KTM is running the risk of having too many offerings. Supposedly a 500cc twin bike range is due out soon (using the 490 name) then they have the sister company Husqvarna, who have been regurgitating the 695cc single in the Svartpilen range, which is now morphing into a 790 twin.

I guess if they can interchange common parts like motors and frames then the cost is not that much more, just cosmetic touches to differentiate the models.

I agree. I still don't like the looks - That's a personal thing but a 750 twin. Really? Why? Is the 390/890 not enough?

I'm quite keen on the RC490 and Duke 490 range if the rumours are correct and they make around 60 hp. Once they've proven their reliability of course. By all accounts, the 390 range had all sorts of issues in the beginning.

About time they mounted their 300 TPI 2 stroke on a V-Twin platform.

I really wish they'd stop chopping and changing. The 1190-1050-1090 changes all occurred in a few years. Then the 790-890 within years, now back to a 750.

Agreed. It's a slap in the face to new buyers who pay for the latest model only to find it's become yesterday's old news.

    Both have merely evolved.

They've gone full retard circle, back to 990 in 2022 apparently.

I mean, progress is progress right? Or they could just be still selling the 990 but with 'bold new graphics' I guess.

I've got my eye on the RC490 news. The rumours are around 170kg wet and 60hp, which is bang in the middle of the sweet spot for a road going bike for me - low enough power that you can use all of the engine on the street, but powerful enough to not feel like it's lacking.

Also looks like a new LC8c 990 is on the horizon
