    Harley stuff

Got a Harley sportster sitting in the garage and it needs some upgrades. Not being a cruiser rider at all, can anyone suggest what rear shocks and tires I should be getting? What's the widest you can run at the rear?

On my gixxer I have Metzlers, they have suited my bike and riding style for some time now. But this cruiser stuff has me scratching my head
My bass is such a slapper.......I cant stop fingering those strings

A sporty is not what I would class as a cruiser

Well it's certainly not a sports bike. Or even a naked, as that would imply some sort of not being a complete shiter.

Hey look. My first post in the old man's section.
Don't you look at my accountant.
He's the only one I've got.

Oops, I might have had a drink last night.

But seriously, why did they fit such short travel shocks and long forks?
Spend as much as you can on the shocks.

...this is the best advice...probably the only good advice you will get...having owned and loved a Sportster for many years, I feel kind of qualified to agree with F5 Dave...any more would be wasting money...
