    We are baaack

Just back from the NZ Moto Guzzi rally (The Rattley Tappet) which was down south this year in Otematata.

We have been away 10 days all up and Vicki and I took extra time (3 days) to catch up with our families on the way up and down the south island plus we had a quiet day at the rally (75km's) so in basically 6 days we covered 2,900km on the Mk2 with all the crap a couple needs over 10 days....

Bike ran like a top. Usual dribble from the rear main (mutter grumble aw fuggedit it's old) but happy cruising at 120 or so and one burst up to (ah hem) and the weather was stunning.... Came home the long way throught the Haast on a cloudless day and took a long day trip (600km) through the Maniatoto back roads on our day off (wus needing much beer after)

Have to say.... The Mk2 took it all, gravel roads, rain (a little) traffic, heavy load and never put a foot wrong... Not bad for a stuffed 25 year old bike

    More later... I'm stuffed....

Glad you all had a great trip and have got back home safe.
It was good to meet you and Vicki, hopefully next time there will be more time for a ride and to hear more stories while at the pitstops.

Very nice scenery. The contrast in the pics may be a bit dark. eg. bike doesn't have much detail.
