Considering what you post here, it is odd that you are not the leader of the National as you claim to know every move the prime minister makes and every thought she has, you would surely be able to poll over 5% as national party leader unlike the current and three past fools had.

To be fair mate I can see why you would say that. I don't necessarily vote to the right in fact I have gone to the left twice,as I vote on how a government is performing to what I want at the time. With Stalinda I feel her many media advisors do a good snow job with her but I have had enough of her pc policies in many areas and I like many, are now starting to push back,

    Morning.

I'd have to disagree with you. Irrespective of the name used for the Party, Hitler was certainly not a Communist. Anything but.

None of the many history books (covering the period up to end of WW2) that I've read - from a variety of authors - indicate that to be the case.
And I think if you were to read a copy of Mein Kampf, I think you'd see that to be the case. [Due to his mental mixing of the Jewish supported Bolsheviks with Marxism and Communism]

In a similar vein I'd refer the OP to the 'German Democratic Republic' of the Soviet era. Or the 'United States of America' from the last 4 years or so.

    Names can be misleading.

    Ummm. Yeees.

It was a joke. I was creating a ridiculous comparison for the sake ridicule.

Ardern is a socialist, not a communist.
I do believe her beliefs are that everyone should earn exactly the same irregardless of how they achieve it though, so that kinda aligns with Communism. And just like any good communist leader she's happy to take all the privileges of her role and her whopping great salary whilst trying to make everyone earn the same. Anyone remember how our resident capitalist Seymour tried to get the MPs to halve their salaries due to covid and it was the Labour party that veto'd it?
Do as I say, definitely not as I do...

But we digress. If you have an issue calling New Zealand Aotearoa, just don't call it that. No one will force you. That is until someone take offense and does you under the hate speech laws... You'll know it when you see it.

I said as you continued to make bold claims not only without evidence it seems without any logical thought pattern.
You need to take a step back and laugh at yourself.

Maybe what NZ needs is an evangelical Christian like Chris Luxton
A man who can see Jebus.
"I see Jesus showing compassion, tolerance and care for others. He doesn't judge, discriminate or reject people. He loves unconditionally."

Throughout history, Christians had made a huge difference in public life.

"Christian abolitionists fought against slavery. Others educated the poor and challenged the rich to share their wealth and help others less fortunate."
    https://thedailyblog.co.nz/2019/11/0...s-chris-luxon/
I hope he's more successful than his predecessor

Luxton seems pretty "woke" as well
Maybe if Chris says it its okay bt if a women does its....
"For example, we decided that New Zealand's shameful record of family violence was a workplace issue as well as a social issue so we introduced a three-week paid family violence leave policy for victims."

The pay equity gap at Air New Zealand had been reduced to zero and senior leadership team positions held by women went from 16 per cent to 44 per cent.

"We worked hard to grow career pathways and internships for young Māori and Pasifika. We worked hard to champion and mainstream te reo and tā moko. We earned gender and rainbow tick certifications."

Air New Zealand was also a foundation member of the Climate Leaders Coalition - 100 per cent of its car fleet became fully electric – over five years ago.

I think Dave was trying to make a point? There are a lot of idiots claiming Hitler was a socialist because of the Nazi name. The name was picked to appeal tp the widest possible range of voters and it ticked all of the boxes. Some of Hitler's economic policies have been described as socialist, but he was doing whatever it took to get the German economy back on track and Keynes was the flavour of the month at the time.

The people who suggest Hitler was a socialist are probably the same people who believe COVID is a hoax, Ivermectin will cure it, Trump was a great deal maker, and the holocaust is a myth.

    Afternoon.

Thanks. I read back through the thread and found that I had missed F5 Dave's earlier (serious) post on the subject (#24) which provided context to post #33. All made sense when read in conjunction.

    Cheers, Viking

Suppose then, you're weren't serious about the stoning in post #33 either. With this Covid lockdown, I haven't been to a good stoning in ages.

As it was immediately before the last election (election day i think) it could well be described as a "heil mary fool of grace"
"I'm a confirmed Anglican... of course, I’m going to take that moment to pray judith Collins
The National leader visited St Thomas in Tāmaki yesterday and prayed in the chapel before casting her vote
Collins said today claims she was politicising her faith "deeply offensive"
Collins, speaking to reporters outside, declined to discuss what was on her mind in the church.
“That’s between me and God, actually,” she said.
    .
This one from Simon Bridges hasnt dated well either.
Simon Bridges, whose National Party failed in efforts to stop the COVID-19 bill being passed this week, told Jacinda Ardern that religious organisations should be trusted to enforce safety precautions themselves.

"Religious institutions are in a better place than almost any other organisation that is allowed to host larger crowds, and are therefore able to ensure appropriate physical distancing and health precautions are taking place,"
