Clean carefully with scotchbrite. What lives outside the seal sweep area is not so important. What is real critical is what the bore seal will rub against in action. The outer dust seal is for dust, the bore deal is the square one that must be a good working seal. Those big pits look like they are too low to get into that range. But mock it up with no seal in place, new or old pads, with a sharpie mark how much sweep the piston will cover.
If the pits will travel over the seal then I'd buy new. Try weemoto maybe or of course anaconda.
