Come back with the primary resistance and distance between mounting points - both off your good coil please.

I have several of these small 2 lead coils in the parts stash.

Hey bud sorry needing a cdi, i think the coils are good...no spark but the cdi is burnt up pretty good...tried a gsf250 cdi the plugs are the same but no spark.

That other cdi probably dead as well. They didn't like over voltage and the regulators died and took them with them. I fixed one by replacement of a destroyed fet which I harvested off another that had a separate issue.
Don't you look at my accountant.

The gsf250 one? It runs the bandit, just not sure if the pinout is the same for the gsxr. Somyoud recommend replacing the reg aswell?

I strongly recommend starting the bike when fixed and immediately checking voltage at idle before revving it then slowly bring revs up.

I'd have thought the cdis were pretty generic at least in operation if not ignition curve. However check a wiring diagram if Lord help you can find one. Perhaps the gsf has a sidestand cut out the 400 doesn't?

Wiring looks a little different, 4pin plug has 3 wires on thebgsxr, gsf has two. So that probably a no go.
Hopefully I manage to actually find a correct one soon...it's getting hot!

I am sure these are the same as the 400 bandit. Note they are different from the earleir GSX400X Impulse CDI.
I see you can get Chinese knock offs on ALiexpress for $50
