One should scroll down, because it was after the war that the modern iteration of the Socialist Youth was founded. In 1946.

Who was the head of the Biggest and most influential Marxist/Communist/Socialist organization at the time? Who was also well documentation in founding, funding and supporting various Socialist groups around the world (Ps McCarthy was right...)?

I'll give you a clue: Stalin.

And despite their attempts to not link their vile organization with that Murderous dictator...

They weren't called the National Socialists without a reason....

I'll give you a hint - instead of Communism along Class lines: The Worker vs the Owner, they want it along Race lines: The Aryan vs the Jew.

And again, all the Fascists were former Marxists....

The early pushers of communism renamed and reinvented it as socialism after Stalin et al gave it such a bad name they had trouble getting financial backers on board. Even then people realised that sucked too and concepts widely rejected. So proponents of communism/socialism gradually infected University and schools like pied pipers leading our kids astray.
People liked what we had, the free market is what built America arguable the most popular place to live in 80/90s. Where the immigrant legal or not could build his own business and succeed.

This debate/platform/asylum used to be entertaining and - at times - thought provoking. Sadly, it has faded and puts me in mind if once-good comedians past their best and fallen on irrational rants and insults to try and stay relevant.

Goodnight - and may your God go with you.

You are just being overly dramatic with all this tho, you need a voucher to enter your own country? Nope. This only applies to this specific time when there is an uncontrolled pandemic
you must carry your identification papers when travelling? Nope. Only applies if you are travelling to a different country or to, or through a different alert level.
    etc etc.

And it's just a coincidence that the highest area average of Covid cases are in the Auckland region. The ones SEEN to be fighting against their "Loss of Freedoms" ... and spreading/taking the virus into other regions ... on the grounds it's their "Right" to travel where they please. And attempting to stop that travel with restrictions ... is somehow ... the beginnings of a Communist Regime.

Sorry folks ... it's not even close. With the onslaught of a National Pandemic/Emergency ... you can all EXPECT a number of losses of freedom. For the benefit and safety of ALL citizens.

The Employers decide if your "Skill set" is suitable for their Business or not.

We wont mention the increasing food COSTS on most items though ... some items more than others though.

Just controls (in some regions) WHERE / how far you can travel (to stop/slow the spread of the Virus) too.

FREE speech is not as free as some may believe. As in the belief that ... THEY are not allowed to be offended by anybody ... but "Free Speech" means they can say what they like ... and if people are offended by it ... TOUGH SHIT because it's THEIR (right ??) to FREE speech.

There's been a few in there ... including a few in the last few years ... that will never be able to pop into a "Night and Day" for a pottle of chips and a thick-shake.

With most of NZ legislation ... there is often a "However" ... you just have to read further into the following clauses of that particular topic of legislation.

Those with an NZ Drivers license are required to carry it. Subject to a fine if you are asked for it ... and can't produce it. This is required even if you are NOT driving. If asked by Police ... you may be asked to identify yourself satisfactorily. If you cannot do so, you can be held in custody until your identity is confirmed. Only the guilty (with something to hide) would refuse to identify themselves.

The lazy just use the self scan at every place you visit. This is in our/EVERYBODY'S own BEST interests to do so. If a person KNOWN to have Covid visits an area/place ... those that were also at that location at around that time ... can be contacted and tested. Would YOU want to be contacted if YOU were at a known location a Covid infected person visited .. ??

At least your own country is allowing you BACK. If NZ is as bad as you try to make out ... why would they WANT to come BACK. It could be ... it's a LOT better HERE ... than where THEY ARE. With a LOT more restrictions THERE... than we have HERE.

Business is Business. It's pretty much just one line of "News" at the moment. People are getting paid to report it ... and people still buy Newspapers and watch the TV "News". Go figure.

Coal has been frowned on now for burning ... but sales of (the correct type of) wood burners are on the increase. The reasons for any "No burning" policies are more for environmental reasons ... not a (Local Government) political whimsy.

"A Largely Disarmed Population" ??? Do you believe in the Tooth Fairy too .. ?? You can STILL get a Firearms License. And the reason for the toughening of NZ Gun laws has more to do with shoddy practice by Police in their Gun Licensing policies and practice. And adding to that ... the idiotic opinions of some of the voting`public appeased to gather votes in the next election. Those "Fit and Proper" to GET a firearms license ... can STILL get one. But the restrictions are on types of weapon you can legally buy. And you must justify the intended USE of the weapon. Not entirely a BAD thing ... in MY opinion.
