    Chrome plating 2021

Asking for recommendations please. Have a few sundry bits I would like rechromed for my little SL125 project. I did use the search function but things have changed over the last year or so and a couple of companies, still coming up on google search, no longer exist.
I have had brand new bare steel stuff done before but am aware things are very different for rechroming.
    Thanks in advance, Al

I recently bought a fully restored MGB GT and have all the invoices from the previous owner. Advanced Chrome Platers in Hamilton completely restored the front and rear bumpers, including nickel plating before chroming. Incredibly good job but cost $1700. Here's the website if you want to check them out: https://www.advancedchromeplaters.co.nz/ .

Last one I had done was a grab rail for a RDLC, came up great and from memory around $90 for that one.

I had various bits - wheel rim and mudguards for a 1972 CB750 done at: Electro Plating Manawatu (19 Roxborough Cres, Palmy). Good outcome for reasonable $$$. I was pleased. That was 2011. He is still there.(Graeme)

This has got me thinking about head, my front pipes are rather ugly.

Lettuce know in the thread who you go with, a spontaneous case of making the bike look pretty could break out.

they fucked my last job, brand spanking new custom made exhaust system, used 240 grade wet and dry then buffed it, you can buy 2000 wet and dry. The whole lot had sanding marks in it and two nice dents to top it off.
when i asked them about it they said they had to get other work done
it was not done to a price, nor a timetable, i hand delivered it 2 1/2 hours away and picked it up myself
