    Peter Snell wins the 1500 the
    final at the Tokyo Olympics
    ( to go with his 800m gold ).


    1964-The film version of
    My Fair Lady, starring Rex
    Harrison and Audrey Hepburn,
    premieres in New York.
    It won the Oscar for Best Picture
    in 1965.


    And on this date
    Marty McFly ends up in 2015 after
    travelling from 1985,in the film
    Back To The Future II.

    Nightingale came home from Crimea and went to bed convinced she was going to die. She was right of course, she died fifty seven years later aged ninety.
