Thanks for that - didn't even know it existed. One of my riding partners when I was in my late teens had the genuine DBD34, complete with clip-ons. It was a complete bastard to start and tended to foul its plug when riding through town. However, on the open road, it was a dream to ride. I found this short video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mtdOr0M3mRk which is exactly how I remember my mate whenever he tried to start it.
I was mentally prepared to not like the new version having been exposed to the original but after watching the video, I reckon that it could be a lot of fun.
If they made the efi throttle body look like an Amal GP that would be even better

Shame re the first few bends in pipe. The seat is too shallow, the head makes it look like a RE , but the rest i really like.
Kinky is using a feather. Perverted is using the whole chicken
The "header pipe" is a cover for the real pipe that goes to and from a catalytic converter. And the radiator is too big, but its a start.

Sadly these are an inevitable visual compromise for such machines if they wish to gain Euro 5 approval.
I agree that the pipe looks a little out of proportion but overall I rather like it. Pottering around the B-roads of the UK this would make a fine companion. How it'd work here in NZ remains to be seen but it's certainly worth a look.
No sorry its the shape where it leaves the port too straight for too long going down unlike a real clubmans goldie.
not swept back on true cafe style, I think they missed an opportunity as they could have also made the the disc look like bacon slicers.
As i see it the seat is too flat and a but thin but the rest s pretty spot on.
Edit other than the lower plate and taillight thats ugly and not needed unless that is some sort of injury prevention requirements like ugly bi=umbers but as it on the rear i doubt it.
I'm impressed far better than what all the rest have tried Seymour or whoever did the 1990s yamaha BSA and that Harrs Matchless etc etc etc .....

No doubt there will be a full range of bolt up extras and parts to satisfy those looking for more retro look. Triumph and Enfield did it.
Ginge
Why would you want a quality Yamaha to look like a shitty old brit bike? They were basic rubbish.
Don't you look at my accountant.
He's the only one I've got.
