I suspect that is just Semantics - Most likely the missiles started the Fire and the Fire did the rest.

the USB and RN spend so much time and effort on proper firefighting procedures - in fact, the leaked video of the F35 crash recently - I believe it was 11 seconds from crash to firefighting foam being deployed.

He does it for free - you may not know - but he's an Ex-Sonarman on a 688 Los Angeles class attack sub, he does waffle but his speculation often has a ring of truth to it.

Yeah. Russia said it wasn't a missile, but then they bombed the factory that made the missiles. Which is effectively an admission that it was a missile or missiles.

I've read somewhere or heard somewhere that apparently they figured out that the Moskva has a blindspot where it's point defence can't hit or target, and so they used Drones to get it to change course (as decoys) so that when the fired the Neptune, it would be in that blindspot.

Haven't seen anything confirming or denying this - but if true - that is some Top-Tier strategy from the Ukrainians.

I've read somewhere or heard somewhere that apparently they figured out that the Moskva has a blindspot where it's point defence can't hit or target, and so they used Drones to get it to change course (as decoys) so that when the fired the Neptune, it would be in that blindspot.

Haven't seen anything confirming or denying this - but if true - that is some Top-Tier strategy from the Ukrainians.

Or easily a series a failures like the USS Stark incident 1987, one of the crackers being the lookout who saw the flash of missile launch but thought it was sun glinting on waves!

I read an article with photographs that said the main radar only covered 180 degrees at any one time. If the Ukrainians put up a suspicious drone to the south of the ship and it was watching it carefully with the main radar, two missiles at sea level from the north would easily be missed.
