    English dialogue, western actors.
If, as claimed, Putin has cancer then maybe his end game is to take the world with him. If that is the case it will be up to the generals and oligarchs to prevent this happening
it's not a bad thing till you throw a KLR into the mix.

I've seen people claim (also based on Putin knowing his end is near; Parkinson's is another thing people see in his general body language etc) that he wants to re-build the Russian empire (whichever one; soviet, tsarist, ...) before he's gone. Leave a legacy.

If he just wanted to burn the World he could have escalated way further much sooner.

Same thing though, it needs the people around him to see that he's making things enough worse (for them, if not Russia) that they need to stop him.

That's pretty much as stupid as when TLDR claimed Hitlers party was left wing.

    Communist Party of Germany
    Kommunistische Partei Deutschlands
The KPD was banned in the Weimar Republic one day after the Nazi Party emerged triumphant in the German elections in 1933.
The KPD suffered heavy losses between 1933 and 1939, with 30,000 communists executed and 150,000 sent to Nazi concentration camps
Vladimir Putin is ramping up his brutal assault on Ukraine, shelling civilians from Odessa to Kharkiv, and leveling the port city of Mariupol — leading President Joe Biden to denounce the Russian dictator as a “war criminal.” But if the initial days of the war were marked by some conservatives muting their admiration for the Russian state, a spate of notorious right-wing figures are now dropping the mask to defend Putin, and even claim his fight as their own

Over the weekend, former Trump adviser Roger Stone, MAGA media maven Cassandra MacDonald (née Fairbanks), and former Staind rocker Aaron Lewis all spoke out to praise Putin, denounce Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky — or both. This week, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene joined the parade, blaming Ukraine for getting itself invaded, while insisting that the war is a lost cause and that Putin is “being very successful” in Ukraine. Then Lara Logan, the former “60 Minutes” correspondent who has her own show on the streaming service Fox Nation, trumped them all, touting Putin as a heroic global actor, declaring: “He’s the man who is standing between us and this New World Order.”
Four years ago, long before Eric Zemmour became the most sulfurous of the far-right candidates in France’s current presidential election campaign, the TV pundit told reporters that he dreamed of a “French Putin” and regretted that there wasn’t one.
Tucker Carlson. Democrats in Washington have told you you have a patriotic duty to hate Vladimir Putin. … Anything less than hatred of Putin is treason … hating Putin has become the central purpose of America’s foreign policy.”
Fox News' Tucker Carlson, who in 2019 declared he was "root[ing] for Russia" in its conflict with Ukraine
Steve Bannonwho ran Donald Trump’s first presidential campaign already confirmed it. Explaining his admiration for the Russian dictator last month, Mr. Bannon said, “Putin ain’t woke—he is anti-woke.” Translation: What the Russian president thinks about gay and transgender rights is more important than what he does to other countries and to his own people. Culture war über alles—the all-but-official theme of this year’s Conservative Political Action Conference that convened two weeks ago in Orlando, Fla.
former President Donald Trump, who hailed Mr. Putin’s invasion of Ukraine as “savvy” and “genius” in a radio interview a few days before the conference. ) Mr. Trump explained why the invasion is a smart move to attendees at an event at Mar-a-Lago: “He’s taking over a country for $2 worth of sanctions. . . . He’s taking over a country—really a vast, vast location, a great piece of land with a lot of people, and just walking right in.”
it has been grimly amusing to watch these right-wing opportunists try to explain away all the fawning quotes and damning pictures.
Some of the greatest offenders—Marine Le Pen in France, Matteo Salvini in Italy, Hungary’s Viktor Orbán, the UK’s Nigel Farage—have spent the last three weeks trying to reinvent themselves as staunch defenders of Ukraine. A select few have doubled down on their idiocy, chief among them Thierry Baudet in the Netherlands and Tucker Carlson from the land of Fox News. White nationalists aside, Putin’s once formidable alliance of global sympathizers has been hemorrhaging support by the day.
    The Far Right’s Dilemma

Moscow used to be the Mecca of the far right. Any figure with hopes of making a name in right-wing politics was once desperate to shake hands with Vladimir Putin, snag a photo, and establish some kind of tie with Putin’s political party, United Russia.

Matteo Salvini, for instance, used anti-immigration sentiment to transform Lega from a splinter group of northern separatists to a far-right force in Italian politics. In 2017, Salvini traveled to Moscow to sign a cooperation agreement with United Russia, which included a pledge to work on removing sanctions against Russia for its seizure of Crimea and actions in the Donbas. Putin’s plan at the time: funnel oil money into Lega to amplify its voice as a Russian mouthpiece.

Except Hitler was first a Marxist, all the fascists were first Marxists and funniest of all, if you take sections of Mein Kampf and replace the words Aryan with (insert oppressed people here) and replace with word 'jew' with the phrase 'straight white male' - all the Radical Left-wing types love it...

And before you 'Oh but the Red shirts and the Brown shirts therefore...' - I'll retort with 'The Protestants and the Catholics therefore...'

As a little experiment - here's some ideas that might have been lifted from Radical Left-wing sources and might be lifted from foundational texts of Fascism. I'll concede the point if you can identify which came from where:

    - universal suffrage, Which includes women's suffrage
    - proportional representation
    - Mandating an 8 hour work day, for all workers
    - a minimum or living wage,
    - worker representation, particularly within management,
    - Strong support for Labour Unions
    - Progressive tax on capital
    - confiscation of the property of religious institutions

It's a sad state of affairs when so many have forgotten that Orwell's work was meant to be a dire warning... Not an instruction manual.
