Noise coming from what I hope/think is the Brakes and not engine?

    Hey guys,

I've only had my bike a month now but been riding it almost daily and the last few times I've been out out for a ride there has been this sort of squeak, whine sort of noise (i know it sounds funny 😅 like I got a small animal tagging along for a bit of a cruise ) at one point in the ride when I have had to slow down and break coming up to a turn and I think it is from the brakes but not entirely sure. The brake fluid is looking low to.mu eyes bit not quite below the low mark, but pretty much right on it.
I've attached a pic of the brake fluid.
Should I just top up the brake fluid and see if that stops the noise or is there anything else I can/should do.
Can I just add to the fluid that's already in there or is it normal for the level to be at that mark?

Thanks in advance this is all new to me so appreciate any help guys.

Cheers. Dave.Click image for larger version.

No harm in topping up your brake fluid but generally it doesn't squeak. A wee bottle of brake fluid is cheap and you can certainly just top it up a few ml. Get the correct grade (DOT)

If you only squeak when braking, which brake?

Jump on to youtube and find a vid which shows how to check your pads and calipers. They are relatively straight forward to check and replace pads. Not much harder than an oil change if you have done a bit of research.

    Brakes are important, check them.
