This should get you all going

    https://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/driver...B2BSZNLRZUGVQ/

Its got everything: injured innocent motorcyclist, Asian driver who is a female real estate agent, a so-called "flash" car (for people who know nothing about cars) and hit and run.

Poor bastard - way to ruin someones life. I feel it because I had full sphincter pucker when stopped at a light because the intersection was blocked and I saw the cunt in the SUV behind me realise very late that I was stopped.... he did the equivalent of a moose turn lane change and missed me but I though I was going to have an anally inserted SUV up my date.

It may be that skepticism is turning to cynicism in my old age but I find her story unconvincing.

Why would she hand herself in a month later when it appeared she had got away with it unless she is actually telling the truth? Dark, raining, poor visibility etc etc.

How do you not know you've hit a fucking motorbike. (and then fuck off home ????).

No idea and I am not going to suggest possible reasons. I am just thinking that if she had known that she had hit a rider why did she leave it a month to fess up?

    A conscience guilt fear.
when it made the paper again, they might have had a partial plate or description.

Upon seeing the incident reported in the media a month later, Wang contacted police.
Am i the only one who picked up her real name was WEI WANG.

I read "very tired" as "pissed as a newt". Kept going to avoid DUI as additional charge.

Someone probably told her that missing bits off the car could be traced back to hers.

There was similar case few years back where someone fatally ran over a drunk stag do fella and thought he had run over rubbish bags....

Devils advocate..... coulda had couple kilos of triad meth in boot.... seriously though she’s likely little and struggle to see over dash let alone the rearward blind spots in a sub like that in dark and rain. That’s a big intersection so by time you move to other side it would be hard too see...

As for late coming forward we can only speculate wildly....

The real kicker though will be her insurance claim, DID she make one??? If so I think they would pick up inconsistency in damage vs event. I got hit from behind stationary on sportsbike at 50k by a hilux. It caused substantial damage to their alloy bullbar.

Hitting a traffic island should becwheel alingment, rims damage only. And if you did that surely you’d want to stop and take some pics incase council hasn’t painted/marked it or intersection properly....

How hard is it for the cops or do they bother calling around crash assessment centres in following week after such a serious incident?

She had something to hide......drunk or contraband. It would have been an effort to drive home with a flat tyre.
Benefit of the doubt. She new she hit something but didn't know what and didn't want to stop and find out for the reasons above.
