    Versys-X 300 50:50 tyre suggestions

    Hello Everyone,

I bought a Versys-X 300 that still has the OEM tires (IRC). I intend to ride on metal roads and sealed roads. I DO NOT intend to ride on sand, farmland, forest tracks or other "off road" environments. I am a road rider who wants to go puttering up unsealed roads with a load of camping gear. I lack motocross skills.
In terms of mileage, about 30% will be unsealed and 70% will be sealed roads.

    Does anyone have any recommendations?
Shit doesn't just happen; there's usually an arsehole involved.

    Tkc80

I’ve used them for years. Great all round tyres. Good on gravel and good on seal. Also consider Mitas E07’s Cheers.
Sometimes you wish it was easier, but if it was, everyone else would do it, then you remember you don't want to be like everybody else!

I'm using Shinko 705's on my DR-Z250 for much the same purposes.

Very happy with them, will replace with the same next time around.

Gotta agree. The Chancellor has them on her DT230 and they work really well, last a long time, too.

Excellent on lighter bikes but showed their limits on my TDM, eventually.

Would be a really good tyre on the wee Versys.
    Manopausal.

I'd say the TKC80 would be too aggressive for the purpose, and would be shorter on life.
Mitas E07 and Motoz Tractionator GPS would likely be your picks.
