This Lizz Truss thread is not very long. That may turn out to be appropriate. One commentator predicts she'll be gone in days, possibly next week.

To be fair Pritch, she has packed pretty much a whole career as pm into one week with policy announcements, u turns, give the rich a tax break, then raise the tax for the rich and even fired an appointee only a few days into the job. She is a PM of actions

Can't remember who said it, but the comment was made that she can't be stupid or she wouldn't have been in Cabinet for ten years. They got that wrong. She's talking about difficult economic headwinds, but she herself was party to creating the difficulties. Her attempts to blame Putin are treated with the derision they deserve.

As for Kwazi Kwarteng who she chose to implement her finance policies, he must have been a record setter. Shortest ever tenure? I seem to recall TDL posting that he thought Kwarteng would be a good finance minister? Maybe Kwarteng will get another shot in a decade or two.

Not I, I might have made the comment that Kwazi was good in-so-far that he had all the 'Diversity' attributes that the Left harp on about - but I have no opinion about his Fiscal prowess.

Brace yourself for less conservative support for liz truss, it looks like her support is weakening.

Well Sugi, she's got a lot more free time now and is probably feeling a bit depressed - so now is your golden opportunity...

The lettuce cost 60 pence (NZ$1.19).
It would take 84,033 lettuce to buy a National Mp.
Which will only take about 3.2 acres of land. or maybe a 1 if we do three harvests.
