Rishi Sunak this months British Prime Minister

How long will current British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak last?
He is off to a racey start, appointed a twice sacked minister, u-nturned on attending the farce that is a cop meeting.
The pommy Conservative movement is like a car that only has a reverse gear and can only perform u-turns. What a fucking shambles

When he decided he wasn't going to attend COP I thought for a moment that the Conservatives were in danger of actually doing something conservative.

I should have known better at this point...

Rishi is far from confidence inspiring as PM so far. He appointed Sir Gavin Williamson to his cabinet. Williamson had previously twice had to resign from cabinet. Now, he has had to resign for bullying. Threatening to cut somenbody's throat I believe. Third time lucky?

It's thought that Sir Gavin Williamson had pestered Johnson for a peerage but Boris gave him a knighthood as a consolation prize. He is a serial pesterer, he also has a CBE.

"Leaky" Suella Braverman was appointed to cabinet after having had to resign for security breaches only a week prior. There is no indication that she has improved. The Home Secretary has access to all Police and security services information on terrorism.

Apparently in Parliamentary question time Sunak had to be nudged awake when it was time to stand and answer a question. It took nudges from two different people to get him moving, so he wasn't exactly with the programme.

Indications are that while he may understand economics, he may not really be a top man as Prime minister.

Every time Suella Braverman pics pop up on teh interweb I immediately think of Fraggle Rock.

My Mam made a good point last time we spoke. She simply said "I can remember when this country was run by Statesmen".

    Not just the UK, sadly.

Statesperson, I suspect, is more appropriate but that's what me Mam said.

Or at least they would be when he awoke from his morning nap.

    And he’s gone.

Just watched speech by new guy Starmer. Seems like true leader that knows how to speak to a nation. Never heard of the guy anyone know more?

Sounds like a breath of fresh air.

Hopeful but having Farage in the House is going to cause issues, way out of proportion to the 5 seats the reform party got
it's not a bad thing till you throw a KLR into the mix.

Sir Kier Starmer was a barrister, regarded by some as a 'lefty lawyer'. He is from a relatively modest upbringing, his dad was a toolmaker. As Labour leader he appeared a bit stolid during the shenanigans of parliamentary question time, but following the 'excitement' of the accident prone Jeremy Corbyn that was probably a relief.

Farage, leader of the Reform Party will be a problem. It's predicted that he will seek to merge Reform with the Tory Party following which he would likely seek leadership of the Tory party.

Many centrist members of the Tory party lost their seats in the recent election. The new leader will likely be one of three women, two of whom are from the extreme right of the party. The third may be no better but I know nothing of her yet. All three are women of colour which may explain why some in the party want Boris back.
