From an interview about why MM doesnt have the latest Ducati - he swapped too late and isnt a Ducati rider officially.‘It should be considered that Marc doesn’t have a contract with Ducati. He has a contract with Gresini, and we are not involved in these kinds of considerations. But from what I see, Marc is one of the most important riders in the history of world motorcycling. End of story’.

Ducati have stated numerous times that only Pramac and the factory team get the current gen bikes.
I was reading an article this morning with Ducati saying in 2024 the gap between the factory and customer bikes will be larger.
On a Motorcycle you're penetrating distance, right along with the machine!! In a car you're just a spectator, the windshields like a TV!!
'Life's Journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out! Shouting, ' Holy sh!t... What a Ride!! '
Here you go finally had time to find the article

Ah, so they still are factory bikes, just he's saying the gap will be bigger between the 23/24 bikes than it was with the 22/23 versions.
Probably just saying that to let Pecco know they are behind him.
Of course MM is now used to being the underdog, so that will just add a little fuel to his fire. But he's so much closer than he was on the Ronda.
Don't you look at my accountant.
He's the only one I've got.
the gap between th 23 and 24 bikes may also mean they will take aaliitle more time to dial them in .I predict some hard moves between MM and Martin. I am already excited!![]()
another interesting read from mat oxley https://www.motorsportmagazine.com/a...cycle-survive/
a bit of fiestyness in the comments from an old F1 engineer - minor differences at play imo re pumping losses and friction etc. the desmo top end is surely worth a few k's on the ducati. do the others all use springs?

AFAIK everything except the Ducati uses pneumatics in the valve train. The desmo will I think still give a little more area under the curve as it can lift and close valves faster. This in theory should mean a wider power band. But electronics are probably the limiting factor in tuning for rideability.
Yeah what a douchebag.

We've seen it with our own eyes for years, the V4s absolutely make more power as even when the L4s had exit grip the second the ducatis n Hondas hooked 4th, 5th 6th they fucked off big time.
