^^Model X is most likely going to be phased out and the resources moved towards model y ,cyber truck and 30k affordable model 2 and robotaxi

99% of Kiwis and Australian's couldn't afford a model s plaid, there is a bigger market in left hand drive markets like China US and Europe, our markets are too small to warrant a right hand drive 100k plus model s plaid, this is my own opinion and not necessarily fact.

But between 2019 and 2022, groups of Tesla employees privately shared via an internal messaging system sometimes highly invasive videos and images recorded by customers' car cameras, according to interviews by Reuters with nine former employees.

Yep, they would make a higher profit margin on the model s, but if they sold 2 model y in NZ/OZ that would be about the same profit, I'm betting on what's coming in the next 24months, FSD, if theres more Teslas on the road which is only possible by selling the cheaper Tesla model's, they can charge extra for FSD and eventually charge what they want when it becomes legal on our roads, that's where Tesla will become a multi trillion dollar company, and the majority of vehicles on the road will be driverless Tesla's.

Well that's the plan anyway, so getting rid of the expensive Teslas on our roads is all apart of the master(s) plan, just my opinion.

or it could be telsas deliver times on orders now mean they might loose money on the orders due to inflation and component cost increases....
Elon Musk recently explained Tesla’s difficulties in adjusting pricing for vehicles that they are delivering six to twelve months from now, especially with rising costs of materials.
Also, the price is likely going to change. Tesla is now delivering new Model Ys to people who ordered them last year for $5,000 to $10,000 cheaper than it is to buy one right now with a new order.
the RHD would i assume be bulit in china

Tesla inventory is building up as production ramps, and demand has remained essentially flat during the past quarters. It was just a matter of time before Tesla had to pause production to allow demand to catch up.
Tesla opened more gigafactories and production was no longer an issue, the EV maker found it hard to keep those production lines going when the demand essentially plateaued.
This is something that few people expected just half a year ago when Tesla was hiking prices like there was no tomorrow. But starting in Q3 2022, Tesla discovered inventories were building up, and demand was suddenly an issue. Since then, people kept talking about demand, inventories, and advertising. This led to some of the deepest price cuts the automotive industry has seen since the Henry Ford era.
Industry insiders expect production in Q2 and Q3 to be clearly below the 264K per quarter capacity because of the lower demand. This might also bring new production pauses in the second quarter. Further price cuts should not be ruled out, which might hurt both margins and demand. When people expect the car prices to trend lower, they are more inclined to delay the purchase.

It has come to my attention that nobody has an opinion on this thread, all the contributors to this thread just Google search Tesla and the news link, this confirms my belief that this forum is full of brain washed sheep who can't or refuse to think for themselves leaving their faith of these journalists who make an income from how much click bait they can receive, that is fine, but it just shows how independent your actual thoughts are since you don't HAVE YOUR OWN OPINION.

I mean why have a forum if all you do is paste a link to a news article? Anybody can find a news link about Tesla good or bad.

Think sheeple think, that's what's wrong with this country
