Once Trump/DOGE threatened to expose the fraud and dig deep - it all then went whisper quiet and gosh darn it, all they could do is find money to grab, sorry save, was in overseas aid and domestic social services like medicaid and so on. Simultaneously, they went on a firing bulk firing spree - mostly from Government Departments that just happened to be in charge of investigating musks regulatory indiscretions.
