    You can’t influence voters

Don’t influence voters or tell them to vote or not vote for a candidate or party.

This rule applies to websites and social media

Don’t post anything to social media or a website on election day that could influence voters. Also make sure your profile pictures on social media don’t include anything that could influence voters.

You may only keep existing election material up on a website or social media if all the following apply.

You don’t update it on election day
It’s only available to people who choose to access it
    The site isn’t advertised
What utter shite. If you are willing to be swayed by someone on the last day you have clearly not thought about it enough and should not be allowed to vote.

I suggest you email that bit of elightenrd thought to the electoral commission.

I’d say it’s more to stop one party from making a baseless bombshell revelation on last day that the other party doesn’t get time to defend or refute.
We’ve heard all sorts of rumours in past eg Gayford Clarke and the nanny/heroin etc all that type of character assassination.

the most disgusting thing about that link and the still from the YT video is the disgusting smirk on both their faces. They both know they are full of shit, and its just clickbait talking points. Neither of them believe anything of what they are saying. It is self aggrandizing lies.

I am very disappointed I clicked on it. I had avoided almost all "mainstream" media up to the election. Did turn on the teev on Saturday night but became sick of Patrick Gower by about 7.45, and of TV3 by about 8.15. Watched some youtube videos of people making things and doing things and went to bed.

When these fuckers turn this into a mini-me Mrka with christofascist tendencies and rename it "New Gilead", don't say I didnt warn you.

Hilarious best election reaction yet 😂🤣😂🤣

I normally can’t stand Gower but his antics about the Bluenami were good.

Already we have great news that come December the Ute tax which makes all your building and plumbing repair jobs more expensive and subsidies rich people to buy brand new EV’s is gone!!!

Done. Although I suggested they only allow electioneering, billboards, TV debates etc on the day of the election and then ban them for the rest of the three years.

I did sign it as HDC though.

    You what?
I suspect the cost has a lot more to do with a new boat, new Ranga and $30'000 of accessories for the pair to increase the perceived size of the average tradies genitalia.

LOL there is as much likelyhood of that happening as the tax breaks to landlords that The Thumb is going to dish out trickling down to cheaper rents for tenants.

Some might say that the legislation that makes all these shiny arsed fuckwits buying SUVs the LOGICAL choice is the problem. As a business owner I could go out and buy a Ranger doublecab 4 x 4 as a work vehicle and get the GST back, no FBT and the business pays the running costs. When I wanted to spend that same $100k on a new Supra, my accountant just about shit himself. (He has a Ranger doublecab 4 x 4). Theere are tosspot mortgage brokers that have them. So, clearly that is the problem. Its very easily solved, too: either build all these levies into the cost of fuel, or registration. Make it economically viable for people, poarticularly people in towns to drive sensible fucking cars..

I was very pleased to see Simon OConnor getting the arse though. Fundy fuckwits have no place anywhere, let alone anywhere near the levers of power. Of course that applies to The Thumb, but the people have spoken.

The one that worries me is Mark Mitchell. Police affairs spokesman. I have no idea what the gangs think of him - but he scares the shit out of me.

No room in his head for anyone else's ideas - or the faint possibility he might ever be wrong about anything.

Luxon was a worry with his multiple promises of new laws when there are already existing laws on the books. The problem is not a shortage of laws. The problem is the Police lacking the will to enforce the laws. Luxon's evident ignorance may also prove a problem..

Almost as non-qualified as Trump. Time spent in opposition doesn't really help once in govt. Plus he's going to have quite a lineup of rightwing pretenders ready and willing to sink the knife in his back. It's going to be a balancing act on a slippery tightrope.

He’ll just take it back to NZ as of 2017, innit? Restructure some public services so they can look like they’re doing something, though achieving very little (other than retasking all the consultants from where Labour had them), increase a bit of funding just enough to say it’s an increase but nowhere near enough to actually redress the underfunding of the last 30 years, and maybe sell a state asset or two to keep ACT happy. And increase the retirement age (only hopefully not as quickly as David Seymour wants to.) Another GST increase maybe?

He’s certainly highly fluent in corporatese. If I close my eyes he sounds just like a former National leader…
