It's raining in my lounge room...

(To the tune of "Leaving on a jet plane")

    [Verse 1]
Well the bowls are out, all over the floor
I know we've been here, many times before
But this time it has almost gone too far.

The rain is pouring outside and in,
It's getting damp and patience wearing thin,
A reclad's needed to get it under control.

    [Chorus]:
Oh, it's raining in my lounge room,
Make sure to keep the carpet dry,
Dont' want no toxic mould in here.
    Bloody hell.

The stairway's got water in it too,
Lay towels out, what more can I do?
    It's getting cold in here.
    Bloody hell.

    [Verse 2]:
Well the WHRS sent a guy this week,
He cut holes in walls and had a peek,
Each time he hmm-ed and hahh-ed I felt quite sick.

"There's a lot of damage", he said with a smile,
If I were you I would've bought brick and tile,
But you're stuck with plaster cladding, and its crap.

"All I can do, is write the report",
"It'll be your main evidence in court",
"The council signed this off? They must be mad!"

So 200 k is the first estimate,
Our architect is now having a fit,
He's got too much work, won't be ready till next year.

    [Chorus]

    [Verse 3]:
Who the hell can we blame for this fix?
The builder's gone, theres no architects.
The council signed the final C-O-C.

Mediation will be our first stop,
Get half the costs back, if not the lot,
Join a class action? Well, we'll wait and see.

So come on summer, give us a break,
Stop this raining, it's creating a lake,
Let us dry out and have some bloody rest.

    [Chorus]

P.S. If you say WHRS like it's spelt, it comes out Whores!!

Coming down in buckets here too, most disappointing, but hey it's Saturday and I'm NOT working - yeah!:hbd: Pretty early though I must admit.

    Enjoy the rain people.

I dunno what you're all going on about? Beautiful day here in Welly - as usual.
Mowed the lawns had the bike in bits on the drive, just about ready to spark up the barbie before watching rugby on the neighbors big screen (one of those projection thingys). Yup it's pretty darn good here!
They shall not grow old as we that are left grow old.
Age shall not weary them nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the evening,
    we will remember them
