    nasty little italian two strokes

    Gentlemens

I am seeking advice for a starter motor

It is for an Italian 200cc 2 stroke motor

    Looks like a stock part

Anyone recognise the code "SJCE" ?

It has about a 55mm bolt spacing

    I need new brushes.

    Thanks

These guys used to have all sorts of shit in their old place https://wipers-nz.co.nz/contact-us/
"If you can make black marks on a straight from the time you turn out of a corner until the braking point of the next turn, then you have enough power."

What are the dimensions of the brushes? Are they like most appliance brshes, a rectangle of carbon with a braided lead and a spring, all retained by a cap? You could possibly find something close from an electric drill or other tool, and file them to size.
it's not a bad thing till you throw a KLR into the mix.
those cheap ass bitches can do anything with ductape.

    Good thinking

Unfortunately one of the springs is gone

Which is probably the reason for failure

New brush kit is the easy way to go

    TradeMe shows nothing that matches

Looks like I may have to ship some in myself...

Its lightly fitted to my bench presently. Got to be worth $700-800 to get that motor rolling.

www.Shipito.com and similar set you up with a US address and then send it on. There is a cost of course but if you really want something...

I was just going to send it for postage.

I'll see if it works. No reason it shouldn't, came off a low mileage Derbi 50 engine I bought near 20 years ago. Was too good to throw away.
