Everybody has a bad day. Even Chris Bishop

From stuff (and his farcebook apparently):

"Debacle of a morning so far. Woke up and couldn’t find a cab. Decided to walk to nearby cafe and get a coffee while waiting for uber. Couldn’t find a cafe. Eventually got to Sky City. No cabs on rank. Nearest uber was ten mins away and was now running late. Decided to get a scooter. For some reason I thought I could have a satchel across me, phone to work out where I was going, hold coffee and also drive the scooter. This didn’t go well. Fell off scooter on Wellesley St. Coffee everywhere, mainly down my front. Ditched coffee. All was well until scooter ran out of battery. Found new scooter then it struggled to get up the hill. Made it in the end. Late."

I think you will find; You Sir are a Numpty.

You don’t drive a scooter. You ride one. And more so with a stand-up scooter, you need both hands.
    Sheesh.
Don't you look at my accountant.

Ohh, well those of us with normal strength and coordination not borne of years of practice. Try holding a coffee and phone as well he'd need 4 hands..

Don't know if we've ever had a one-armed politician. One-eyed, we've had plenty of them.

He'll probably introduce a bill making drink holders compulsory on e-scooters.

No wonder our MPs have trouble running a country…

I hear him on the coffee front though, covid and labours economic destruction seems to have thinned the field on good coffee spots in the city. On recent road trips I’ve found a fair bit of searching to find half decent spots.
I recommend Ernesto’s on Grey street walking distance from ferry terminal opposite hotel intercontinental. Although last time the chef must had previous life as a roof tiler as that’s what the nuked strips of bacon resembled.
And up in Lower Hutt about the only place was cafe Soleil where a lovely Iranian/Turkish looking lady will serve a great coffee although the large size cups have weird shape.

Welcome to Auckland, Chris! Unlike Welly, you can't walk everywhere and there isn't a cafe on every corner.

I wish there was a video!

nope, natural attrition, Every second hipster had a funky cart, people wised up that they could leave their money in their pocket. The hipsters have now turned to 'unique' little breweries, onr or two in every street, and now finding another way to try and outdo each other with special beer names and themes, whilst going bankrupt

    Good.

Quite sick of all these coffee wankers making you wait at the petrol station or in the drive through, standing around shitty little caravans blocking the footpath and generally paying stupid money for someone to force some coffee juice through water. Happy to report I kicked the take away coffee habit a few years ago and now use a proper cup with a handle once every week or so and enjoy it so much more.

Nowt wrong with instant coffee either. Anyone who says different is up themselves and probably owns a cat.
