Motosocial Christchurch brings people and machine together

My first experience of the social, and it was a good one. The weather was not bad, the bikes were well varied, and the people were cool. A great concept.
I'll be keeping an eye out for future dates and see if my Griso is willing to take me.

Well the RZ500 and T20 were nice.

Don't think much of your mirrors though. Time to buy some proper full scale ones rather than the 1/2 size ones from aliexpress.
Don't you look at my accountant.

Ha ha ha, I know ya can buy from Aliexpress. But these aint, yeah for sure they are small. They were a Christmas Gift to the bike in 2011.
Be a shame to change them now. Click image for larger version.

I had a set like that on the 675 for the ride I took to take TM pictures. A mate donated them as I stole the originals to go on my 765 which had bar end std.

They were OK if you shuffled a bit, and if the object behind you obliged by being in the right place. Then you could see a clear image of a bit of it.

But yes the vid was good for us who can't get there.

Looks like a cool day out. Not unlike the atmosphere at Burt Munro week down this way. I'm looking forward to that but it will feel weird fraternising with the BMW crowd instead of the Ducatisti Do you know if there will be another South Island Motosocial Event?

A mate bought one a year back, needs headbearings done but otherwise great condition.
