    Some more info. The R9 is based on the XSR900 but with a new frame. The engine is the same, which is a little disappointing in terms of peak power but not midrange. It has all of the R1 electronics with similar suspension. The riding position is a more sporty than the R7, which may be a good compromise for some (me!) but not those looking for a "comfortable" bike

    It does sound promising.
