I'm sure Ducati have made serious efforts to improve the GP25 during the season, but after 7 races the 24 still appears faster. The Motorland race could be really interesting.

I am sure that normal MM service will resume at Aragon

Thanks for posting that. I guess we won't really find out for a few years.

Looks like Martin is going to do it.

If I were a team owner, a rider with a history of making hot head decisions, had the follow through of a politician on fulfilling a promise combined with the loyalty of a horny tom cat would NOT be on my shopping list.

Also, it's not the first time. He signed for KTM during 2020 and invoked a similar clause to get out of the contract before the 2021 season started.

Word is KTM are unlikely to continue in MotoGP. Acosta is unhappy there anyway and will also be looking for a ride. So Honda will have options if they decide to replace Marini.

A further complication is that Luca Marini has been seriously injured testing for Honda for the Suzuka 8 hour.

A year early. Hopefully he doesn't get his confidence destroyed by the michi tyres before resuming service on perelli

Looks like it's Pramac so Olivera or Miller will be looking for a ride next year.

Hopefully not Miller, he's been doing better this season

Martin is exercising the clause in the contract they both signed. With Aprilia not open to re-negotiation, he had to sign for another year on an unknown bike or walk. If Aprilia do their usual end-of-season shambles then it may be a wise move.

Well, he turned up at the Aprillia owners meet at Misano and was well received. He even rode a couple of bikes - had to go and buy leathers and a helmet!

I expect he had concerns after his ride at Losail and wanted another chance on the bike before committing to 2026. It's unfortunate that it couldn't be settled behind closed doors, as issues like this take on a life of their own in the media.
