I wonder what a 26 really is. I'd thought they had to lock in the engine for 2 years, but perhaps they can use the earlier engine?
From what I understand they can change the engine, dont know if it means to a new one though.

I think the satellite guys will get to choose 24, 25, or 26.. I feel like they might all skip the 25 though lol

There was a big thing that because of the concessions Duclattery had to pick an engine for 25 26, they stay still. But can they go back? Let's hope so for Peccos sake. Would be great to see another back in the mix. Scarey thing is Marc on the 24.

Hey thanks for posting that clip of PI. I went 6 x, but I had an extended sulk when they lost the 2 strokes.

No problem, I was watching a thing on Crash and they reminded me of it.

I dont think the whole bike will be a 24, it will be the engine maybe.. the rest of it will be a 26

Who knows. But if your theory is correct someone will want a gp24 with the current engine .Someone else wont care

Ducati hasn't decided what Fermin and Frankie will ride next year. It may also depend on the spares situation. The GP25 riders don't seem to crash as often, so there may be more GP25 spares at the end of this season.

    So this from MotoGP news.com

Alex will continue racing for Gresini, but the factory spec bike that is currently supplied to VR46’s Fabio Di Giannantonio will instead go in the direction of the Spaniard instead.

Sorry? Im getting confused here. Alex was to get factory support and a GP26. But this is ambiguous. It is written like he will get the support of a new bike but also Diggas cast off.
Im sure they meant notionally so he will actually get a GP26. So does that mean Digga will get last year's cast off (his current bike?) Geez!

They also said there was an engine freeze. What does that actually mean? Does it mean that Alex will now get to drink of the poisoned challis and hope that he gets on as well as his brother, but not like Bags or Digga?

Im still not sure that what I am reading is the actual truth of what must happen and stay within the boundaries Dorna laid down. I thought it was plain that Ducati keep same engine 2025 and 26 decided at start of season. That would be bad for everyone except Marc. Bad for racing too.

Actually, good for the other manufacturers.

I read that as third factory('26) bike will go to Gresini rather than VR46. So they (VR46) will get two 25s,Presumably Aldegeur(I cant say #54 cos Toprak is trying to get #54) will get the third 25 bike
