Cemetery Circuit is just around the corner

Wanganuis Cemetery Circuit is on on boxing day.Weather looks like it'll play ball, whose heading there? Don't forget the commentary is broadcast at the circuit on 88.0FM so take a device along that will help your day

I haven't been for 24 yrs 2000 was the last time.

I was watching those mad Poms on Sky 55 at the TT yesterday.
So glad I didn't go in about 1981 with Dave Hissy . (he wanted a mechanic, but I said I'd be riding if I went?)
But alas I didn't go I had just been promoted while at Police College . Job was more important to me then..
Hope there is a good turnout at Wanganui and I hope for nice weather for the guys peddling.

If it weren't for flashbacks...I'd have no memory at all..

so no air bags no bridge over the circuit no big screens then, shame, it's one hell of an event and neither it, nor you, will be around forever.

Yeah mate, I just got off the phone talking to Dusty of Leda leathers, we catch up every month. Our group of ex riders are all getting on a bit.
I did Wanganui as a rider for the first time in 70 or 71 ( can't remember which ?)

I do recall it was pissing with rain. John Woodley won the Open Prod Race on a CB750. I was on a T350 Suzuki and placed 8th.
Circuit was pretty rough in those days.

81 was first year i went with Sisters Fiance. Became a Hizzy fan . Did next year with a mate. Had to catch bus there, too young to ride. Missed a few years and virtually unbroken attendance since I was 19 and had a reliable bike.

Great work from your team, smaller crowds and cloud cover made for an awesome day. Paid on day as late call with weather but hell where else do you get this kinda action for $40.
Think seeing as the ADV class is running 21inch fronts there should be some more adv style obstacles laid out for them, eg log to pop front over and make them carry luggage to liven things up.
Good to see how quick our local talent is with Rees/Dibben vs the imported riders.
