    CFMoto 450MT

I have a bike I have now done just over 3000km on. The front brake makes a groaning noise, when under a bit of pressure. I know I can pull the pads for a clean, chamfer the leading edge and put some anti squeal stuff in there but I may as well upspec the pads if I am going to do that?
Anyone changed the pads and if so what to? Also after a recommendation for tank protection/knee grip? TIA…

Not sure I should help as you have a communist bike you feellthy collaborating Red Scum.

    Mine arrives in February.
The front brake lacked bite on the demonstrator. I started Google , but there aren't many listings. I believe they are same fitment as a 790 Adventure and a few other things (need to 'do some more research') . Brembo owns J.Juan or whatever they are called.

I was going to go EBC HH for some front end bite. But not sure how they cope with dirt.

There are sod all forums, one Auss Adventure thread which is 60 pages of train of thought. And I'm not on farcebook as it's all train of thought and lack of thought.

See this looks good, but part of Road range. Is that important? Maybe not.

ie just same as practically every Ducati from about 97-2005.
your multistrada should have had the same pads
I was going to say I will lend/send you up a few but most of mine are 1 pin early..
if you want to try some, I can whip out the ones from the Dogcati though they are later 2 pin pads?
I will be running some 1 pin calipers on her anyway..as I have a few set of new pads (and another reason)

If it was me I would Spray the feck out of it with brakleen first though.

Yep. I am a socialist thanks! And thanks for the link. I will get some of those as they are cheaper in NZ than in OZ it would seem. Looks like someone may even have some in stock for my mexican brakes here in whangarei!

Yeah, gonna have a good clean up and chuck in some brand new ones. Hoping to get just a little more power without having to change the m/cyl. Cheers tho!

Also looking for a recommmendation for tank grip stuff. There is so much on ebay that it is impossible to tell the good from the bad at times…considered just getting some Oxford generic stuff and making it work. You really want something when standing up on gravel etc

I put some of this stuff on the Beta. It's OK and sticking OK 3 years on. Have to spend the time to stick it down and repress a few times over a couple of hours. On other dirtbikes I'd glue edges down every 6 month with selleys all clear (which is a wonder product).

In fact I might get some more for the 450 now you mention it

Just looking at the sales pic the SS450 and the MT450 has the later radial caliper so not 100% sure it will use the 2 pin pads?

I have the SinterGrip pads on the R1 rear brake. Excellent for that application but difficult to believe they are HH?

Have a look on carpimoto.com. They have good pricing on Brembo pads.

Hmm, only list for bigger cc bikes cfmoto on that site currently. But I think I got my brembos for my 765 (on shelf ready) from there. Them and genialmotor are good. Hmm Genial. . , nice arrow for 600 odd euro. No. Don't need.
Hmm, only rear pads currently listed.

Try cleaning the disk off with a steelo pad or emery cloth and brake clean first .

What part number/brand did you end up using?
