    Intro from Auckland Newbie

Hi everyone, I've only just learnt to ride about six weeks ago-did a course through John Wright-got hooked-got a bike(Honda VTR250)-and lovin' it. I stumbled across this forum last week and enjoyed reading and learning about the motorcycle community, so it's great to participate. Last Sunday I did the BRONZ course and found it excellent! It deserves all the praise that I've read/heard about and wouldn't hesitate recommending it. Hopefully I'm accepted into a CBTA course next month so that pesky L plate can take a flying leap. Till then I'm riding as much as possible!

I've been here for only a short while myself - Be VERY careful there are some people here that might just corrupt you.... depending on your current level of corruption.
Also It's a very addictive place with tons of good advice from very knowledgable people.
    Welcome.
They shall not grow old as we that are left grow old.
Age shall not weary them nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the evening,
    we will remember them

Welcome Alan, your story sounds pretty close to mine, did the John Wright course and have been accepted to the CBTA course in November. Might see you there.

Out of interest, how long was it before they confirmed your place in the course-I applied a couple of weeks ago and haven't heard since.

Went out to Kawakawa Bay this evening the came home and cleaned the bike.... next time I'll do it the other way around, ie Clean it first, then ride it to blow off the water, and a bit of further cleaning after the ride!!, We ahve much to learn!!

    See ya!!

Hi Alan.. If you need some additional riding, am more than happy to force the hayabusa to go slow

But seriously, there are quite a few KB'ers that are not so corruptable and will help you out if you feel the need for a ride

    Welcome aboard!
It's been a rough day. I got up this morning, put on a shirt and a button fell off.
As I ran out the door, I picked up my briefcase, and the handle came off.
Now I'm afraid to go to the bathroom.
