GSXR750 lower fork tubes

I need to get some new lower fork inners for my 2007 GSXR as the current ones now have too many rust spots turning up and consequently leaking fork seals. In the past I was able to grind out the spots and fill with JB Weld and that worked well but there now just too many small spots. Looking on line I see stainless steel inners and steel/hard chrome varieties are available. Does anyone know what the OEM units are made of or have any experience with replacement inners. I'm comfortable with removing the original inners and reusing the lower castings so dont want to buy new complete units.

Do you know what diameter you need. I have a pair of really good tubes that I bought for a GS1100G and which I didn't use. 37mm diameter IiRC.

Yeah the 750 has been USD since ages ago, only the 600 ran RWU's for a few years.

Yep USD.

Am having a look at some Italian made ones at the moment. More expensive than the Chinese made ones but hopefully made of better material. I doubt there is any way of finding out about the exact metallurgy of them but I would think that the price alone would be indicative. Racetec promote these TDK ones.

I'd recommend the TNK brand, they have been used by quite a few people including myself and excellent quality. what is the suzuki part number, i will see if my parts cross reference programme can come up with anything

Yep, I meant to say TNK, not TDK. From what I can make out the 600 and 750 fork inners are the same. I have emailed Genialmotor who sell them on ebay, to clarify. The chinese makers sell them as a set and say they fit both the 600 and 750 (as do re sellers of USA secondhand parts) but the OEM part numbers are slightly different. Eg the 750 RH part is 51110-02H00 and the 600,s is 51110-01H00. It maybe because the 750's are gold chrome and the 600's are normal silver chrome. I see that other colours are available, have different numbers and are hellish expensive.

I heard back from Genialmotor who say the chrome fits the 600 only !!!!!!.

And yet I checked the Race Tech site this morning and they have codes for the 600 and 750 in varying colours. Eg FTNK 0820040 is titanium red for both the 600 and 750. FTNK 0050640 is plain chrome for the 600 only, not available for the 750 ??????.

If titanium is available for both and with the same code (which means the specs are identicle) , then why not plain chrome for the 750?. Bazar.

OEM for the 750 is 5110-02H00 R/H and 51120-02H00 L/H

OEM for the 600 is 5110-01H00 R/H and 51120-01H00 L/H

either way the correct part numbers weren't on my programme so the ones with a digit missing weren't gonna work
